The Castles

In the heart of magnificent landscapes and gardens, a number of castles from the middle ages to the 19th century offer an anthology of French art and a reminder of the historical past of the Cluny area.

A leaflet entitled « La Route des Châteaux en Bourgogne du Sud » describing the specific features of each castel in the region is available free of charge at the Tourist Office. Some of them (the castels of Berzé-le-Châtel, Brancion and Pierreclos) have adopted a “pass” system which, for one paid admission fee, will entitle you to a reduced rate at another partner château.
